دراسة تعالج موضوع الفرق الإسلامية بحثا عن أسبابها: السياسية والدينية والاجتماعية ، وعن العلل التي أصابت المجتمع الإسلامي بالانحلال السياسي والاجتماعي، وبالرغم من أن موضوع الافتراق قد أشار إليه الرسول صلي الله عليه وسلم في حديثه : " ستفترق أمتي ... "لقد احتار العلماء في شرحه، وتكلفوا في تصنيف الفرق حتى يبلغ تفرقها إلي اثنتين وسبعين أو ثلاث وسبعين ، وكان تكلفهم شديدا يحمل عسر التأويل ومخالفا لقانون النشوء والارتقاء والسنن الطبيعية لتطور الأشياء ، إذ من الصعب أن يحمل عصر واحد مخاض ولادة جميع الفرق الإسلامية التي أشار إليها الحديث، وكأن قانون التطور وقف عند القرون الأولي، بينما الحديث ورد في ذم التفرق ومادحا الوحدة الواحدة.

فالدراسة تقويم وتقييم وتحليل ومقارنة وتجلية رؤية، نرصد من خلالها مستقبل نهضة المجتمع الإسلامي وبعثة من خلال أحداث التاريخ الإسلامي، فهي دراسة للتاريخ الإسلامي قبل أن تكون دراسة عقائد الفرق، علي ضوء ما أراه: إن كل تغيير يلم بالمجتمع وراءه فكر وقد تضمنت الموسوعة الكتب التالية:
