إدوارد دي بونو (بالإنجليزية: Edward de Bono ) (مواليد 19 مايو 1933) طبيب وعالم نفس مالطي. يكتب دي بونو بشكل احترافي خصوصا في مواضيع التفكير الإبداعي، المصطلح الذي ابتدعه هو نفسه. دي بونو حاليا مستشار يعمل في العديد من الشركات العالمية مثل كوكا كولا وإريكسون.
التاريخ
دي بونو من مواليد مالطا وخريج كلية سانت إدوارد من ثم حصل على درجة الطب من جامعة مالطا ليتابع في جامعة أكسفورد ضمن منحة رودس ليحصل على علامات شرف في الفيزيولوجيا وعلم النفس من ثم دكتوراه الفلسفة في الطب. ليمضي في متابعة الدكتوراه PHD في كامبردج وبنفس الوقت ضمن جامعة أكسفورد، وجامعة لندن وجامعة هارفرد. تزوج من جوزفين (انفصلا عام 2005) ولديه منها ولدان.
في عام 1969 أ س س دي بونو أمانة الأبحاث الاستعرافية Cognitive Research Trust التي اشتهرت لاحقا ب: كورت (CoRT) التي استمرت حتى الآن في وضع وتطوير مناهج تعليمية بناء على أفكاره. في عام 1979 شارك في تأسيس مدرسة التفكير مع مايكل هيويت-غليسون.
ألف أكثر من 75 كتابا مترجمة لأكثر من 37 لغة.

لقد مضت حوالي 25 سنة منذ أن بدأت العمل في حقل التفكير الإبداعي، وجاء الوقت الآن لإعادة ترتيب الأمور وجعلها تسير وفق الزمن، كما حان وقت التوضيح وإعادة التصريح بالأساليب التي تمت استعارتها وثبت ضعفها خلال التجربة.
جاء الوقت لتطبيق الثروة الهائلة من الخبرة التي تراكمت على مر الأيام، والتي تعلمت أثناءها التفكير الإبداعي في كثير من البلدان من خلال ثقافات مختلفة سواء في عالم الأعمال، والتعليم، والحكومة، وأجزاء أخرى من المجتمع.
وهناك ثلاثة محاور تطرق إليها الكتاب كونها تشكل القيمة الحقيقية له وهي:
1-فهم حقيقة ومنطق الإبداع، لأنه من شأن ذلك أن يجعل المرء أكثر وعياً وإدراكاً لأهميته.
2-تنمية الرغبة والنية للقيام بعمل إبداعي خلاق، ويتعلق هذا المستوى بتنمية مهارات الأشخاص لضبط الهدف وتركيزه على نقطة معينة، ثم توجيهه لما يساعدهم على تحقيق تلك الأهداف.
التوجيه إلى الأدوات الخاصة والطرق والأساليب الإبداعية، وكلما زاد استخدام الأدوات والأساليب الإبداعية ازدادت مهارات المستخدم وإبداعاته.
