إنها مجرد مشاهد، كمشاهد الفيلم، ترابطت مع بعضها البعض لتحكي قصة. القصة بسيطة، بل وتكاد تكون ساذجة لكن أسلوب سردها يثبت، روايداً رويداً، جدية وحرفية لا تكاد توجد إلا في الشعر المقفى.
لكن الكاتب يعود فيفاجئنا في منتصف الرواية بكسر كل القواعد، عندما يصبح الحديث حميمياً والتواصل بينه وبين القارئ محسوس ملموس.
مهاجر الطيور رواية "ملونة" عن الهجرة وعن التآلف بين الأضداد. فبطل القصة شاب عربي ترمي به الأقدار في جزيرة افريقية جل سكانها من الهنود. هناك، يتعايش ويتآلف ويبدأ قصة جديدة من قصص صراع الإنسان من أجل البقاء.
