إن التنظيم القانوني لاختراعات العاملين، أصبح من المواضيع التي تشغل بال الباحثين في الوقت الراهن، بالنظر إلى أن العامل أصبح مؤهلاً أكثر من أي وقت مضى للتواصل إلى اختراعات جديدة، وذلك للمستوى الفني الذي وصل إليه من جهة، وللإمكانيات المهمة التي أصبحت توفرها المؤسسات لمجال البحث من جهة أخرى، وتتجلى أهمية الموضوع أيضاً، في أن حماية حق العامل المخترع يشجع على الإبداع والإبتكار، ويساهم في الدفع بعجلة التطور العلمي والتنمية الإقتصادية، وسوف تشمل الدراسة اختراعات العاملين التي يتوصل إليها العمال في المجال الصناعي بمعناه الضيق، وبالتالي فإنها لا تشمل الابتكارات التي يتوصل إليها العمال في مجال الرسوم والنماذج الصناعية والتصاميم الطبوغرافية والدوائر المندمجة والمستنبطات النباتية وبرامج الحاسوب والمصنفات الأدبية والفنية، كما أن موضوع هذه الدراسة، يقتصر على البحث في الإختراعات التي يتوصل إليها العمال في القطاع الخاص، فقط وليس موظفو الدولة وشركات القطاع العام، وقد قمنا بدراسة موضوع اختراعات العاملية دراسة مقارنة بين القانون المصري والقانون المغربي، نظراً لحداثة الموضوع في القانون المغربي وإعادة تحديثه في القانون المصري، وقد عملنا على معالجة هذا الموضوع من خلال: (الباب الأول: الأحكام العامة لاختراعات العاملين، الباب الثاني: الآثار المترتبة عن اختراعات العاملين).
