في جديدها القصصي "حالية اللبن" تكتب "كفى عسكري" عن عاشقات يتدثرن بخيبة الأحلام، وأخريات يمارسن انتظارهن الصعب، لظل مستحيل، يأتي ولا يأتي، وحيوات تختبئ تحت ظلال الجدران، وحالات إنسانية أخرى وكل ذلك بأسلوب التلغيز الذي يعري الواقع والأيديولوجيا السائدة، ولا تنفك الكاتبة عن ممارسة تلك الكعبة السردية في القص، وهي تغور في شخصيات ابطالها دون مصادرة لحرياتهم أو تقمصهم، وقد يكون ذلك ابرز ما تميزت به هذه المجموعة، حيث يغيب فيها صوت الكاتبة، ليأخذ البطل حريته من الإنتقال على صفحات الورق، وكأنها تبتكر، حلماً، ملاذاً جديداً يمنح لكل صوته، ويعيد لكل وجه ملامحه، ومن هذا الأفق تنطلق الحكايات التي تحمل هوية القصة القصيرة جداً ببصمة خاصة وبرمزية عالية تعمق ما تود قوله الكاتبة من أفكار مصاغة في قالب النقد نقرأ لها تحت عنوان: "فستان زفاق": أمضت شهوراً تخيط فستان زفافها الذي ارتدته أختها في ليلة زفافها إلى الرجل نفسه..." وأخرى بعنوان "كروشية": أرادت أن تملأ حياتها بعمل ينيها التفكير في الأمومة الذي يلاحقها منذ عشر سنين.. عملت الكثير من قطع (الكروشيه) وكان آخرها جوارب لمولود، ولم تعلم أنه مستقر في أحشائها...". بهذه الإنتقالات الرشيقة بين المشاهد والأحداث والوقائع ترسم الكاتبة الحدث القصصي بالتماعات فريدة ومميزة، ما يجعل لهذه المجموعة أهميتها واستحقاقها لأكثر من وقفة نقدية، سيما وأن الكاتبة كانت تنطق عبرها بكل تفاصيل الحياة، مؤكدة أن النص القصصي قادر على احتواء الحياة بتناقضاتها، وبرؤية حداثوية أجادت توظيفها، منذ العنوان وحتى آخر حرف يسدل الستار على حيوات حاليات اللبن...
