ويُسلط كتاب دليل الأسير الذي يُعتبر الأول من نوعه الضوء على خلاصة تجارب الأسرى الفلسطينيين في كيفية إدارة الحياة التنظيمية داخل الأسر، كما يُعدّ الكتاب في فصوله الثمانية عشر مادة هامة وتوثيقية للأسرى ومراكز الدراسات المختصة..
يذكر أن الأسير صبحة من قرية عنبتا قضاء طولكرم ووالده هو المرحوم الأستاذ ناجي صبحة أحد أبرز مؤسسي جماعة الإخوان المسلمين في فلسطين، كما يذكر أن صبحة كان رئيساً لمجلس الطلبة وأميراً للكتلة الإسلامية في جامعة النجاح الوطنبة فترة دراسته، وقد اعتقلته قوات الاحتلال الصهيوني عدة مرات كان آخرها في العام 2001 على خلفية مقاومته الاحتلال ونشاطه في كتائب الشهيد عزالدين القسام، حيث أصدرت ضده محكمة صهيونية حكما بالسجن لخمسة عشر عاماً.
