باحث وناقد أدبي ومترجم، أستاذ الأدب الحديث في جامعة اليرموك- الأردن، حصل على الدكتوراة من جامعة فريدريش فيلهلم- بون- ألمانيا عام 1986. وعمل أستاذاً زائراً في أكثر من جامعة أردنية وعربية.
أصدر عدداً من الدراسات من أبرزها: "الانتحار في الأدب العربي"، "باريس في الأدب العربي" و"دوائر المقارنة".وغيرها. كما أن له العديد من الكتب المترجمة عن الالمانية، نذكر منها: "يوميات فرانتس كافكا 1910-1923"، "آدم باحث وناقد أدبي ومترجم، أستاذ الأدب الحديث في جامعة اليرموك- الأردن، حصل على الدكتوراة من جامعة فريدريش فيلهلم- بون- ألمانيا عام 1986. وعمل أستاذاً زائراً في أكثر من جامعة أردنية وعربية.

حائز على جائزة أفضل كتاب مترجم للعام الجامعي 2007 التي تمنحها جامعة فيلادلفيا الأردنية عن كتاب ما بعد اليوتوبيات.
Book Description
كتاب طبقات الأمم يعني بأخبار الأمم، وسير الأجيال ويكشف عن أحوالها ومذاهبها، وهو من تأليف الفقيه المؤرخ القاضي أبي القاسم صاعد بن أحمد بن عبد الرحمن التغلبي المعروف بصاعد الأندلسي وقد كتب هذا الكتاب سنة 460هـ/1068م، عرض فيه لتواريخ الأمم معتمداً في أغلب ذلك على الروايات الشفوية ولقاء الشيوخ ومجاورة الأقران. ذهب فيه إلى أن الأمم السالفة كانت قبل تشعب الأمم وافتراق اللغات سبعاً، وافترقت تلك الأمم السبع وتشعبت لغاتها وتباينت أديانها وهي تنقسم إلى طبقتين، طبقة عنيت بالعلوم وطبقة لم تعن بها.
وقد كان لهذا الكتاب دور بارز يفصح عنه ذلك الاهتمام الذي لقيه من قبل المؤرخين والدارسين على اختلاف أقطارهم وقد توفرت نسخ عديدة منه استعانت المحققة بنسخ دبلن وعاشر أفندي باسطنبول، وكوبريلي، ومكتبة المتحف البريطاني فجعلت قراءتها ملفقة من سائر النسخ فأثبتت في المتن ما ظنت أنته صواب وأثبتت ما عداه في الحاشية، كما استدركت الكثير مما وقع فيه من سبقها إلى تحقيق الكتاب.
