أسماء الله الحسنى تشرعا: تسعة وتسعون إسما، قال تعالى: (ولله الأسماء الحسنى فإدعوه به) وكما أخبرنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" إن لله تسعة وتسعين إسما.....)الحديث -وعلى اليقين ليس لها حصر أيضا كما قرر في دعائه صلى الله عليه وسلم: "اللهم إني أسألك بكل إسم هو لك سميت به نفسك أو أنزلته في كتابك أو علمته أحدا من خلقك أو إستأثرت به في علم الغيب عندك أو ألهمته أحدا من أصفيائك.."الحديث.
وبهذا تنحصر أسماؤه تعالى بعدد ولا حد إذ لا حد لصفاته ولا لذاته سبحانه جل شأنه وعلا قدره إلا أننا بما وصلنا من أسمائه في كتابه المبين ونوه إليه نبينا الأمين. ومن أسمائه تعالى التي علمها سبحانه وتعالى بعض خلقه: الأسماء الإدريسية التي ظهر مددها وإمدادها لذاكريها وعلى هذا النهج سار شيخنا أحمد زروق الذي تفتن في شرح أسمائه تعالى الحسنى ودعمها بما يليق بها من الأسماء الإدريسية.
