إن ثمة طوائف وفرقاً كثيرة انتسبت إلى الإسلام, وهو منها بريء, ورغم ما بين هذه الفرق والطوائف من خلافات كثيرة وجذرية في النشأة وعوامل الظهور, ثم في عقائدها وضلالاتها؛ إلا أنها اجتمعت وتظاهرت على أمر واحد هو العداء للإسلام, ومقت وكراهية المسلمين.
ولقد قام الكثيرون من الباحثين بالكتابة عن هذه الطوائف المنتسبة زوراً إلى الإسلام, ولكن لكل كاتب منهجه الخاص, فمنهم من أوجز واختصر, ومنهم من أطال نوعاً لكنه اقتصر على بعض هذه الطوائف, ومنهم من ذكر عقائدهم دون نقد وتقويم, بل سرد سرداً قد يستشف منه الرضا عن تلك المذاهب أو بعضها.
لذلك رأيت أن أكتب عن هذه الفرق المنتسبة إلى الإسلام مركزاً على زوايا ثلاث في كل طائفة: زاوية النشأة والتاريخ. ثم زاوية العقائد والأحكام, ثم زاوية النقد والتقويم, مبيناً موقف الإسلام من هذه الفرق, وخطرها على الإسلام والمسلمين.
