يعتبر كتاب المورينجا الماسة الخضراء أول كتاب متخصص يكتب باللغة العربية عن شجرة المورينجا ويتضمن دراسات علمية ميدانية استمرت لأكثر من ثلاث سنوات قام بها فريق عمل متخصص من جامعة الملك عبد العزيز، وأتت فكرة تأليف الكتاب مما لاحظ المؤلف البروفسور حسين الجزولي وهو أستاذ الزراعة في جامعة الملك عبد العزيز وفريق عملة خلو المكتبة العربية من مثل هذا الكتاب المتخصص نظراً لأهمية هذه الشجرة التي تعتبر شجرة الألفية الثالثة.
ولقد قام المؤلف بنقل للتجارب العالمية عن الشجرة المعجزة شجرة المورينجا، إضافة إلى العمليات الفلاحية والمجالات الزراعية والصناعية والغذائية والدوائية الواعدة.
وعليه، جاء الكتاب في ثلاثة عشر فصلاً توزعوا وفق ما يلي: الفصل الأول: "التوزيع الجغرافي والنباتي لأنواع المورينجا"، الفصل الثاني: "خصائص المورينجا أوليفرا والمورينجا بيرجرينا"، الفصل الثالث: "مكونات المورينجا وإستعمالاتها"، الفصل الرابع: "إستعمالات المورينجا في مجال التغذية البشرية"، الفصل الخامس: "المورينجا في مجال زراعة وإنتاج الأعلاف"، الفصل السادس: "إستعمالات المورينجا الدوائية"، الفصل السابع: "المورينجا في مجالات الإنتاج الحيواني والنباتي"، الفصل الثامن: "المورينجا في المجالات الزراعية"، الفصل التاسع: "خصائص ومكونات زيت المورينجا"، الفصل العاشر: "العمليات الفلاحية"، الفصل الحادي عشر: "تجارب الدول الإفريقية والآسيوية في زراعة المورينجا"، الفصل الثاني عشر: "الجدوى الإقتصادية لزراعة المورينجا"، الفصل الثالث عشر: "طرق إعداد المورينجا للإستهلاك اليومي".
