"قالت هِمتْ وهي تبتسم: أخي هيثم إن وقتي يضيع.. في المواصلات" وكذلك كل أخواتنا ربات البيوت في أنحاء الخلافة الراشدة كلها.. إنني أشعر أن قضية المواصلات كلها يجب أن يعاد النظر فيها.. ابتسم هيثم وهمس: هذا يا أخت هو ما يشغلنا الآن.. وقد وصلنا إلى نتائج ممتازة والحمد لله.. اخترعنا آلة توفر لنا النفط. ولا تضر بالصحة العامة ولا تزاحم على الطرقات، وتنقل الأخوة في العالم إلى حيث يريدون دون أية تكاليف.. فما رأيك.. عجبت همت، كما عجبت أم كريم التي كانت ترى وتسمع كل شيء في جهاز هاتفها؟... ابتسمت همت وسألت بدهشة: عجيب هذا الاختراع!! سيربح كل المسلمين.. هذا ما يجب أن يكون.. ابتسم الكهل ابتسامة واثقة وقال الحمد لله.. إننا نتخلص الآن وبالتدرج من جميع ما أورثتنا إياه الحضارات الجاهلية البائدة.. كالسيارة والقطار. واستعمال النفط، وأهلاك المواطنين بالضجيج، وإقلاق الأمة كلها بالتعاسات وإضاعة الوقت الذي هو أساس حياتنا.."
في هذه القصة الإسلامية الطويلة يدون الروائي "عبد الودود يوسف" قصة تعالج واقع البشرية من خلال نظرة تستشف أستار المستقبل، حيث ستقوم الخلافة الراشدة التي ستعمّ الأرض... بلسماً للناس، وشفاء لجراحات عصور الهمجية، في جسد وروح البشرية المعذبة؟ وفيها يعطي المؤلف صورة عن نظام الحكم الإسلامي الذي إن سادت أركانه العالم وطبق بحذافيره عن أرض الواقع لا بد أن يفرد العدل بجناحيه ويسود السلام، جميع الناس مؤمنين بالدين الإسلامي ويؤمنون به. ذلك لأن أركانه قد وضعت بعناية إلهية تامة، هدفها التوحيد بين الشعوب وعدم التمييز بين أجناسهم أو دياناتهم وقبل كل ذلك إسعادهم وراحتهم.
إنها محاولة تعالج واقع البشرية من خلال نظرة تستشف أستار المستقبل، حيث ستقوم الخلافة الراشدة التى ستعم الأرض... بلسماً للناس، وشفاء لجراحات عصور الهجمية، فى جسد وروح البشرية المعذبة.
