الحق أن جنة آدم هي جنة المأوى التي أعدت للمتقين إذ هي المعهودة وهي مخلوقة الآن، لظواهر الآيات والأخبار الصحيحة التي منها ما رواه مسلم عن أبي هريرة قال: رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "يجمع الله الناس، فيقوم المؤمنون حيث تزلق بهم الجنة، فيأتون آدم، فيقولون: يا أبانا استفتح لنا الجنة، فيقول: وهل أخرجكم من الجنة إلا خطيئة أبيكم؟" وكأن الحكمة في إسكان آدم الجنة هذه المدة أن يتعرف أولاً على وطنه الحقيقي السعيد، حتى إذا خرج منها بعدما ذاقها حنّ إليها واشتاقها، وسعى لها من رآها فعرف قيمتها، فتفاني في طلبها!
