Book Description
أبدى المؤرخون المسلمون فى القرنين الثانى عشر والثالث عشر الميلاديين اهتماما كبيراً بتسجيل أحداث الصراع بين الشرق والغرب ممثلاً فى الحروب الصليبية التى استمرت فترة طويلة.
وتأتى أهمية الكتابات التاريخية الإسلامية لهذه الفترة من تاريخ الأمة الإسلامية من الحقيقة القائلة بأن كاتبيها أو من بين كاتبيها شهود عيان عاصروا الأحداث وعايشوها.
وقد كان لإحياء حركة الجهاد المقدس وتعبئة الأمة الإسلامية بشرياً ومادياً وعسكرياً لمواجهة الغزو الخارجى أثره فى قيام المؤرخين المسلمين بدورهم فى هذا المجال وتسجيل أحداثه ومن هؤلاء الفتح بن على البندارى الذى اهتم اهتماماً بالغاً بأعمال العماد الكاتب وقام باختصار معظمها ومن بينها المخطوط الذى بين أيدينا سنا البرق الشامى.
وليس لدينا منه سوى الجزء الثالث، والجزء الخامس وكان قد كتبه فى الفترة من 562:589هـ / 1166:1193م وتظهر المادة التاريخية المأخوذة من هذا الكتاب فى كتب المؤرخين اللاحقين لعماد الدين.
