إن معظم منظمات الأعمال تكافح باستمرار لبناء مركز استراتيجي وتنافس متميز، يضمن لها البقاء والنمو وتحسين الأداء في ظل البيئة التي تعمل فيها، ولإنجاز هذا الهدف فإن الأمر يتطلب من هذه المنظمات أن تمتلك رؤية بعيدة المدى، خاصة في ظل التطورات المعاصرة في العلوم الإدارية وتأثير التغيرات التكنولوجية المعرفية، في هذا السياق، قدم الباحث نموذجاً لعملية ومراحل الإدارة الإستراتيجية يخدم أغراض التعريف بالإدارة الإستراتيجية وتطورها والتحديات والتغيرات التي تواجهها، نموذجاً يوضح الموضوعات والمكونات الخاصة بالإدارة الإستراتيجية بطريقة منطقية ومتسلسلة، وعلى النحو التالي: تم تخصيص الفصل الثاني من هذا الكتاب للحديث عن مفهومي الرؤية الإستراتيجية والرسالة الإستراتيجية وأهمية صياغة وإعداد كل منهما، وطبيعة الفرق بينهما، في حين خصص الفصل الثالث للحديث عن مبادئ حوكمة الشركات والمسؤوليات الإجتماعية للأطراف المرتبطة بها، أما الفصل الرابع فهو يتناول عرضاً لموضوع تحليل البيئة الخارجية للمنظمة، لذلك يعرض الفصل الخامس لموضوع تحليل البيئة الداخلية للمنظمة ، ويأتي الفصل السادس بهدف دمج التحليلات الخاصة بالبيئة الخارجية والداخلية "التحليل الثنائي للبيئة الخارجية والداخلية"، وتم تخصيص الفصل السابع لعرض التحركات "البدائل الإستراتيجية المختلفة، وإسنكمالاً لعملية البديل المناسب عرض الباحث في الفصل الثامن لمجموعة من النماذج الإستراتيجية المعدة لهذا الغرض، ويدور الفصل التاسع حول عملية تنفيذ الإستراتيجية، بعد عملية التنفيذ، تأتي عملية التقييم والرقابة الإستراتيجية موضع الفصل العاشر، أخيراً فقد تم تخصيص الفصل الحادي عشر لتناول ودراسة ودراسة الحالات في الإدارة الإستراتيجية، آمل أن يفيد هذا الكتاب الباحثين والممارسين والطلاب في مجال الإدارة الإستراتيجية، واؤكد أن هذا الكتاب ما هو إلا محاولة لتحليل وعرض ما سبق كتابته في ميدان الإدارة الإستراتيجية.
