صديقنا طارق أخبرني أنك في الأيام الأخير شكوت له سوء معاملة أحد الضابط، وأنه كان يكدركم بوضع الماء البارد على رءوسكم أو تذنيبكم وأنت حفاء بالليل. وإخلاص قالت إن قلبك حس الموت بدليل أنك زرت الناس لكلها في العزبة وتصالحت مع الجميع وودعتهم، حتى أحدى عماتك التى لم تذهب إليها من سنين زرتها قبل سفرك الأخير وقبلت رأسها. مرة يتيمة زرتك فى قبرك مع طارق ورأيت اللافتة الرخام مكتوب علهيا" قبر الشهيد خالد محمد محفوظ" جلسنا صامتين أتوقع منك أن تضحك ضحكتك المجلجلة، أو على الأقل تخبرنى كيف مت، لكنك آثرت الصمت باستثناء حضورك المستمر فى منامات إخلاص.
