إن من يدرس تركيب القلب والميكانيكية التي يعمل من خلالها لا يجد مفراً إلا أن يعترف بوجود قدرة هائلة تقف وراء تصنيع هذا القلب وصانع لاحدود لعلمه. فتركيب القلب يشهد علي قدرة الخالق عز وجل ودقة صنعه، ولا نملك إلا أن نقول سبحان المبدع العظيم. وعلي مدي سنوات طويلة درس العلماء الباحثين القلب من الناحية الفسيولوجية واعتبروه مجرد مضخة للدم لا أكثر ولا أقل. ولكن مع بداية القرن الواحد والعشرين ومع تطور عمليات زراعة القلب والقلب الصناعي بدأ العلماء ملاحظة ظواهر غريبة ومحيرة لم يجدوا لها تفسيراً وهي حدوث تغيرات نفسية عميقة للمريض بل أن هذه التغيرات تحدث احياناً في معتقداته ومايحبه وما يكرهه بل وتؤثر علي إيمانه أيضاً، مما دعا بعض العلماء إلي تغيير نظرتهم إلي القلب طبياً أي أن القلب لا يغذي الجسد بالدم النقي فقط إنما يغذيه ايضاً بالمعلومات مع كل نبضة. ومن ناحية أخري، نلاحظ أن القلب في القرآن الكريم لفظ مشترك يعرف معناه حسب سياق ذكره من الآية. وقد ورد هذا اللفظ في القرآن الكريم في أكثر من مئة آية وهذا يشير إلي أهمية هذا العضو الذي سخره الله لنا. فالقلب كما هو مذكور في كتاب الله ، و في سنة رسوله ، له مدلول غير تلك الكتلة من اللحم الرابضة في القفص الصدري والتي تضخ الدم إلى جميع خلايا الجسم ، وهو مدلول يتعلق بالعواطف و المفاهيم و الأفكار و العقائد، و الفهم و ركائز الأخلاق وضوابط السلوك. إن هذا الكتاب سيحاول تقديم رؤية علمية جديدة للقلب البشري تتفق مع ما في القرآن الكريم قبل أربعة عشر قرناً، مع ملاحظة أنه ليس مجرد معلومات للإطلاع عليها بل إنه يهم كل مؤمن ليزداد إيمانه لله ولنثبت أهمية القلب في حياتنا وأخرتنا.
