في إيجاز وإجمال تكلم الشيخ "عبد البارى العشماوى الرفاعى" فى كتابه "متن العشماوية" فى العبادات وبالأخص الوضوء والصلاة والصيام على مذهب المالكية ولكن هذا الإجمالى يحتاج إلى شرح وتفصيل، وهذا الإيجاز قد يتوق فى بعض مواضعة إلى بعض من إسهاب، وهذا هو ما قدمه وقام عليه الشيخ "صالح عبد السميع الآبى الأزهرى"، وقد جاء الكتاب الذى بين يدينا يحمل فى متنه "الكتاب الأصلى" أو "متن العشماوية" وفى هامشة الدرر البهية والتى هى شرح "العشماوية"، وبهذه ببعضها فلا ينقصه منها شيئاً، وقد جاء الكتاب على أربعة عشر باباً هى كالتالى: باب نواقص الوضوء، وأقسام المياه التى يجوز منها الوضوء، فرائض الوضوء وسننه، فرائض الغسل وسننه، التيمم، شروط الصلاة، فرائض الصلاة وسننها وفضائلها ومكروهاتها، مندوبهات الصلاة، مفسدات الصلاة، سجود السهو، فى الإمامة، صلاة الجمعة، صلاة الجنازة وأخيراً باب الصيام.
