فاجأتني النصوص في هذا الكتاب ، أولاً من حيث كونها صادرة عن كاتب شاب لم يكمل الخامسة والعشرين من عمره ، ويمكن مقارنتها بنصوص ناضجة من تأليف كتّاب لهم خبرة طويلة في ضروب الحياة والعلم . ومن ناحية أخرى تمتاز النصوص المطروحة في هذا الكتاب بتشابك الميادين المعرفية التي تتناولها ، فيجد القارىء لذة خاصة وهو يتنقل ما بين علم النفس ، الفلسفة ، الموسيقى وحتى الأدب البحت . أعتقد أن هذا الكتاب هو محاولة جادة ، من كاتب شاب طموح ، لاستكشاف جوانب خفية من الإنسان والحياة ، وأرى أن هنالك إضافات معرفية يمكن البناء عليها لاحقاً ، وخصوصاً فيما يتعلق بالعلاقة الوثيقة ما بين العلوم النفسية والموسيقى ، وهما جانبان ألمّ بهما الكاتب جيداً . أنصح بقراءة هذا الكتاب سواءاً من قبل القارىء العادي أو المتخصص ، فكلاهما سيجد إثراءاً ، حتى أن بعض النصوص ربما تصلح للقراءة في سياقات أكاديمية جامعية . - بروفيسور جبرا مسلم ، برلين ، المانيا .
لفتني بالكتاب على وجه التحديد عدم إهماله للسياق العربي والفلسطيني للقضايا المطروحة . يتضح للقارىء ، ومنذ الصفحات الأولى للكتاب ، أن النصوص تجمع ما بين تجربة الكاتب في فلسطين والمانيا . ملاحظات يومية دقيقة ومراجعات أكاديمية رصينة تجدها بين ثنايا هذا الكتاب . استمتعت بقراءة الكتاب وخصوصاً وأن أسلوب الكاتب أدبي تحليلي يبتعد عن التعقيد والتلاعب بالمصطلحات . والمميز على وجه التحديد هو إبحار الكاتب في قضايا غير مطروقة بكثرة ، فقد لفت أنظارنا إلى علم نفس الموسيقى لدى الفارابي ، والتعقيدات النفسية للمجتمع الألماني ، وخوف فرويد من الموسيقى . قد يطول الحديث عن الكتاب ، إلا أنني متأكدة من أن الكتاب ربما يحتاج إلى عدة قراءات ، وفي كل مرة يكتشف القارىء أشياء جديدة عن نفسه وعن العالم . - د. فيرا مطران ، موتستر ، المانيا .
