أدت التطورات المتسارعة في السنوات الماضية في مجالات تقنيات الحاسوب والوسائط المتعددة وشبكة الإنترنت إلى ظهور ما يسمى اليوم بتقنيات المعلومات والإتصالات في التعليم (ICTE).
ولقد ظهر أثرها بوضوح في جميع مجالات الحياة اليومية ومنها مجال التربية، لما لها من مميزات عديدة في توفير الجهد والوقت والمال، إلى جانب ما تتمتع به هذه التقنيات من إمكانية في التحاور مع المتعلم، الذي أصبح محور العملية التعليمية.
أما الأهداف، فإن بعد دراسة هذا الفصل نتوقع من الطالب أن يكون قادراً على: 1-معرفة ماهي القراءة والكتابة المرئية، 2-توضيح أهمية مهارات التصميم، 3-وصف نموذج الأدوات والأفعال والتصوّرات، 4-التعلم على إستخدام الأشكال (Shapes) في البيئة المرئية، 5-التعلم على كيفية توظيف الأشكال لتحسين عملية التعليم.
