تستحوذ فكرة بابا نويل على معظم أحلام أطفال المدن حول العالَم، لكنْ في قرية نائية بعيدة، لا زالت تعيشُ البساطة في فطرتها الأولى، هناك بابا نويل خاصّ بهم، ألا وهو "العمّ شحادة" الّذي يعمل طوال السّنة في بيع الحليب، ليتحول في ليلة عيد الميلاد إلى بابا نويل، لا يشبه بابل نويل الّذي نعرفه، كي يوزّع الهدايا والفرح على أبناء الحيّ الفقراء، ويدخل الفرحة إلى قلوبهم.
بطل القصّة الّذي يروي القصّة بلسانه، ينتظر "العمّ شحادة" / نويل هذا العام على أحرّ من الجمر، لكنّه لأسباب لم يستطع اللّحاق به والحصول على هديّته الخاصة.
يصاب الولد بحزن شديد، لكنّ جدّته الحكيمة تساعده على إيجاد حلٍّ رائع يحوّل البطل وجدّته إلى "بابا نويل" بالمعنى الرّمزيّ.
القصّة تتناول مفهوم المبادرة إلى العطاء وليس إنتظاره...
