ديوان" حين يعطي وصفها ليمامتين" يمثل ملامح التجديد والتجريب في أبنية الشعر المعاصر واتجاهاته، وتتنوع قصائده بين التفعيلي وقصيدة النثر، وتتخذ قصيدة الإبيجرام شكلاً لها، وهي قصيدة تعتمد التكثيف والإيجاز إلى أقصى مدى دون الإخلال بمتطلبات وشروط شعريّة، مع الاعتماد على المفارقة التي تمثل البنية الأكثر حضورًا في الديوان. ولعل أهم ما يميز القصائد أنها تستطيع الإمساك بمعطيات الشعريّة المعاصرة في تطورها الأخير بعد تخليها – نسبيًّا – عن شكلية الإيقاع الخارجي الرنانة، وتحولها إلى الإيقاع الداخلي من نبر وتنغيم ومدى زمني، وتوسيعها من بنية المجاز في مفهومه العام بما يشمله من آليات البلاغة القديمة وما يضمنه إليها من تقنيات البلاغة المعاصرة المعتمدة على منجز الدرس الأسلوبي والخطاب الحجاجي.
ويأتي دور المفارقة، التي تعتمدها قصائد الديوان بكل أنواعها : مفارقة اللغة، مفارقة الصورة، مفارقة الحالة، مفارقة الموقف، مفارقة الشعور، المفارقة الفكريّة، مفارقو الوعي، وغيرها من أنواع المفارقة التي غدت شرطًا من شروط الشعريّة وآلية من آليات إنتاج
