عندما كنت أطوف فى قراءة الأدب العربي، شدني غير قليل من الموضوعات الأدبية، إذ وجدتها متناثرة هنا وهناك فى صحف الدارسين، ووجدت الدارسين أيضا لا يتباينون فى دراستها، إذ جاءت متشابهة فى أذهانهم، وبالتالي فقدت الموضوعات الأدية فنيتها، وتعثرت فى نموها الذي لو تم لها لتركت صدى واسعاً، وكشفت عن بنية عقلية عميقة لدى الفنان والمتلقي.
ولما كانت الغاية الحرص على شد القارئ وجذبه، وإغرائه بمطالعة هذه الفصول، التي تنتمى إلى الأدب العربي فى العصرين الجاهلي والإسلامي، وفي العصر العباسى والعصر الحديث ارتأيت أن أبنتني جسور الصلات بينى وبين ما أقرأ ، لأظهر مكنونه، وما احتواه من تجربة عميقة وغبداع رائع، وأسلوب رأق، وعواطف طابعها الرقة تارة أخرى.
