في دراستنا هذه، تابعنا كل الأخبار والموضعات التي تناولتها مجلة (لغة العرب)، وتمّ تصنيفها حسب الإمارات العربية الواقعة على الساحل الغربي للخليج العربي (البحرين، قطر، إمارات الساحل العربي، دبي، الشارقة، رأس الخيمة والكويت) وأفرد قسم خاص لمسقط وعمان، لكثرة الأخبار التي وردت عنهما في هذه المجلة، فضلاً عن تكريس حقل خاص لأخبار الغوص في الخليج العربي ومواسمه.
ونحن نتحدث عن مجلة (لغة العرب) لا بد من الإشارة إلى تاريخ صدور المجلة وإغلاقها، وإلى أهدافها ومكانتها التاريخية.
وهذه المجلة، كغيرها من المجلات والصحف العراقية الأخرى، أُسست بعد إعلان الدستور العثماني عام 1908، إلاَّ أن محاولة الإتحاديين إتّباع سياسة التتريك، وسياستهم بفرض اللغة التركية على الولايات العربية، دفعت الأب أنستاس ماري الكرملي لكي يصدر مجلة (لغة العرب) لتُسهم مع الصحف والمجلات التي صدرت في العراق آنذاك في الحفاظ على اللغة العربية.
ومن المجلات الشهرية التي كانت تصدر في بومباي باللغة العربية (مجلة العرب)، وكان صاحبها ورئيس تحريرها الأستاذ عبد المنعم العدوي. ومما يذكر أن العرب قد صدرت في أعدادها الأولى بإسم (جريدة العرب)، ومن ثم أصبحت تصدر بإسم (مجلة العرب).
وبينما كانت الصفحة الأولى من المجلة تحمل شعار "تهتم بشؤون العرب والمسلمين وتنشر أهم أخبار العالم الإسلامي"، كانت الصفحة الأخيرة منها - صفحة الغلاف الخارجي - تضمّ الأهداف التي من أجلها صدرت المجلة، وجاء فيها: "من أوسع المجلات العربية الإسلامية إنتشاراً في الشرق، ولم يسبق في تاريخ الهند أن تأسست فيها مجلة عربية لقيت ما لقيته هذه المجلة من الإزدهار وسعة الإنتشار والتغلغل في كل ناحية من نواحي الشرق".
