ولما كانت خدمة هذا التراث شرفاً عظيماً وكذا إحياؤه نصرة للشرعة والدين؛ وإيماناً بهذا المنهج، وترسيخاً لذلك المبدأ، فقد استخرجت الله فى إخراج تلك الدرة المصونة والجوهرة المكنونة من مخدارتها على الوجه اللائق بها، من حيق التحقق وبيان المعتمد، رغبة في تيسير تراثنا الفقهي الذى يستمد أهميته من موضوعه نفسه، خاصة أن صاحب المنظومة وهو العلامة ابن العماد الأقفهسي الشافعي المتوفى سنة (808) هجرياً - رحمه الله ورضي عنه- من كبار فقهاء الشافعية في زمنه الذين برزوا في عصرهمن وأما شارح المنظومة فهو شيخ الإسلام أبو العباس شهاب الدين أحمد بن حمزة الرملي - رحمه الله ورضي عنه - حامل لواء مذهب الشافعي على كاهله، ومحرر مشكلاته وكاشف عويضاته وعليه المعول في معرفة المعتمد في مذهب الشافعي رضي الله عنه.
وقد تم تحقيق المتن وشرحه على عدة نسخ نفيسة منها ما كتب في حياة شارحه وقوبل على أصله، وقد قال عنه صاحبه الشيخ أبو العباس الرملي في مقدمته، هذا تعليق (لطيف) على منظومة الشيخ الإمام العلامة أحمد أبي العباس شهاب الدين بن عماد الدين تغمده الله برحمته ورضوانه في بيان النجاسات المعفو عنها، يحل ألفاظها ويبين مرادها ويتم مفادها على وجه حسن للمبتدئ، على وجه سهل للمبتدئين، حاو للدليل والتعليل، وسيمته "فتح الجواد بشرح منظومة ابن العماد".
