اهتم العلماء بالكشف عن أسرار التكرار في القرآن الكريم وما يحمله من دلالات ومعاني وذلك في كتب مختلفة من التفاسير والمتشابه في علوم القرآن، ونظرًا لهذه الأهمية فقد حاولت جاهدًا قدر المستطاع أن أدلي بسهم متواضع في إحصاء بعض هذه المتشابهات معتمدًا في ذلك على ترتيب المصحف آياته وسوره.
وقد قمت بتقسيمه لأقسام مختلفة هي: [أولًا: الآيات المتماثلة وهي التي يكون فيها التشابه تامًا في كل شيء من حيث عدد حروف الآيات ونوع الحروف وهذه الآيات المتماثلة تنقسم إلى قسمين: تماثل تام حتى في رقم الآية، تماثل تام مع اختلاف رقم الآية، وقد يكون هذا النوع داخل السورة الواحدة أو بين عدة سور بعضها بعضًا، ثانيًا: ما تكون فيه الآية جزءًا من آية في موضع آخر، ثالثًا: الآيات المتشابهة ويكون ذلك حين يظهر فرق صغير بين الآيات، كاختلاف في حرف أو كلمة أو أكثر من حيث الحذف أو الزيادة أو الاستبدال أو الصياغة أو التعريف والتنكير وغير ذلك مما سيظهر لاحقًا. وقد يكون التشابه بدرجة أقل مما سبق فيظهر ذلك التشابه في بدايات الآيات أو وسطها أو آخرها، رابعًا: كلمات متماثلة داخل الآية الواحدة، خامسًا: حروف متماثلة ومتتالية في الكلمة الواحدة]. وأخيرًا فقد اجتهدنا قدر الإمكان أن يخرج هذا العمل بلا أخطاء، ولكن الكمال لله وحده.
