سوف نقطع كتب التاريخ والسير والتراجم والبلدان وغيرها طولًا وعرضًا، هذا التي تحتوي ما قل أو كثر عن تلك الدولة العبيدية، وعن هذا الرجل منها، وهو الحاكم بأمر الله، نجمع الشتات ونولف الأخبار والمعلومات، ليس لنصرة رأي بعينه، أو مهاجمة وإضعاف رأي آخر، بل لنصل إلى أقرب شيء للحقيقة، إن لم يمكننا الوصول إلى الحقيقة نفسها، سنولف جملة من القول عن الشيعة وأصلهم وبدأ بدايتهم، وفرقهم وأهم مبادئهم، ونبين من هم رجالاتهم، ثم نعطف على جملة أخرى من القول، نبين بها كيف بدأت تلك الدولة العبيدية، والجهود المبذولة حتى صارت دولة وكيانًا. وسأكتب حياة الحاكم بأمر الله بالتفصيل غير الممل وغير المخل قدر المستطاع، سواء ما يخص الداخل في مصر، أو يتعلق بأمور الدولة ونوابه وقواده، بل وخصومه، في مصر وبقية المناطق الخاضعة لدولته، وسأجعل لهذا الجزء خاصة ملخصًا أجعله كمقدمة تمهيدية بين يدي الكتاب، بغرض أن يأخذ القارئ فكرة سريعة ومختصرة، عن حياة البطل الأسطوري للكتاب، هذا الرجل الذي يتندر الناس بأفعاله، ويتعجبون مما يقال عن حياته، ومعاملاته، وموته، إنه الحاكم بأمر الله!!!.
