في إحدى حلقات سلسلة( تاريخ المصريين) يأتى هذا الكتاب عن رواد وأساتذة تاريخ العصور الوسطى فى مصر. فيبدأ المؤلف الدكتور (محمد مؤنس عوض) فى دراسته تلك بأساتذه جامعة القاهرة بإعتبارها الجامعة الأم فى مصر والدول العربية جميعاً ، نذكر منهم على سبيل المثال الدكتور إبراهيم طرخان، الدكتور أحمد أمين. وبعد أن يفرغ من أساتذة جامعة القاهرة يعرج على جامعة الأسكندرية بإعتبارها الجامعة الثانية ثم جامعة عين شمس وأخراً عدد من الرواد من خارج الجامعات المصرية. يتناول المؤلف فى كل رائد من هؤلاء سيرته ومؤلفاته وأبحاثة .. مبيناً دوره على هذا الدرب العلمى الحاملى بالقمم البشرية والأعمال العلمية.
