كتاب تعليمي، وضعته لهواة كتابة السيناريو، والدراسين المبتدئين فى المعاهد والكليات التى تهتم بهذا الفن.
وقد راعيت فى هذا الكتاب أن يكون سهلاً، ولذا عرفت كل المصطلحات التى وردت به، وقدمت أمثلة توضيحية لكل شئ حتى لا يكون فيه غموض.
وفى بداية الكتاب تحدثت طويلاً عن "الدراما" لأن معظم السناريوهات تعالج أعمالاً درامية، ولذا رأيت أنه من الضرورى قبل أن يبدأ الكاتب فى التعامل مع السيناريو، أن يعرف قدراً مناسباً من المعلومات عن الدراما باعتبارها أساسا للبناء الفنى.
وسيلاحظ القارئ أن كل الأمثلة التطبيقية التى قدمتها عند حديثى عن الدراما مأخوذة من المسرح والرواية وليس من السينما أو التليفزيون، وقد قصدت هذا، لأني لا أظمن أن كل من يقرا الكتاب سيكون قد شاهد الأفلام أو المسلسلات التى يمكن أن أستشهد بها. أما المسرحيات والروايات فمطبوعة، ويمكن الإطلاع عليها إذا رغب القارئ في مزيد من المعرفة.
ولم يتناول هذا الكتاب أيه أعمال تجريبية، ولم يتحدث عن التجريب نهائياً، لأنى أرى التجريب يبدأ بعد أن يستوعب الكاتب أو الفنان الأسس التقليدية لفنه، ثم يخرج عليها إن شاء خروج الفاهم الواعى.
وأظن أن هذا الكتاب الذى يتحدث عن الدراما، ومعناها وشروط الفعل، والشخصيات، والحوار يسد نقصاً عند الأساس الدرامى الذى تعتمد عليه سيناريوهاتهم.
وفى الجزء التطبيقى حرصت على أن أقدم للكاتب أساسيات الكتابة، وأن أتيح له الفرصة للتدريب العلمى من خلال مواقف أو معالجات محدودة كما قدمت بعض تقاريري القراءة عن احد المسلسلات ليرى هواة السيناريو كيف يتم الحكم على السيناريو. وأرجو أن نتفع هواة كتابة السيناريو ودار سوه بهذا الكتاب.
