من المسلم به أن من أهم أبواب القراءات هو باب وقف حمزة وهشام على الهمز، والإمام الشاطبي رحمه الله وإن كان أجاد في نظمه إلا أنه يعتبر من أصعب أبواب الشاطبية ذلك أنه أجمله إجمالاً، حتى أنه ذكر المذهب الرسمي في تسهيل الهمز في شطرتين فقط، ولذلك قام الأئمة بتحريره وتفصيله، فأطنبوا وأكثروا حتى إنهم يذكرون أوجه الكلمة الواحدة في عدة أبيات.
لذلك وغيره فقد استعنت بالله عز وجل وعزمت على خدمة هذا العلم وتيسيره عى طلابه، فوفقني الله تعالى ويسر لي جمع تحريرات سهلة وميسورة على ماتن الشاطبية وذلك أني كنت أثناء قراءاتي على شيخنا الفرماوي- رحمه- الله- كلما وجدت تحريراً كتبته حتى تجمع لدي شئ كثير من التحريرات، كما أني اطلعت على تحريرات الإمامين الجموزري والحسيني- رحمهما الله- ومن خلال اطلاعي على التحريرات وقراءاتي على شيخي- رحمه الله- تبين لي أن بعض هذه التحريرات مقبولة مأخوذ بها عملاً، وبعضها أوجه اجتهادية غير مقبولة ولا مأخوذ بها عملاً، فرأيت أن أجمع ما هو مقبول فقط في متن لطيف حجمه يسير كلمه، سهل حفظه وفهمه، فيسره الله عز وجل بمنه وكرمه وها أنذا اشرع في شرحه، لتعم فائدته ونفعه، وقد سميتها بالتحريرات الشعبانية على متن الشاطبية وجاءت في مائة بيت كافية.
