وكذلك السلف الصالح "رضوان الله عليهم" فقد ساروا للمسار نفسه؛ فقد جاء في كتاب المعلمين لابن سحنون أن القاضي الورع عيسى ابن مسكين كان يقرأ لبناته وحفيداته.
قال عياض: فإذا كان بعد العصر دعا ابنتيه وبنات أخيه ليقرأ لهن، وكذلك كان يفعل قبله فاتح صقليه... أسد بن الفرات بابنته أسماء التي نالت من العلم درجة كبيرة.
ولما كانت مرحلة الطفولة هي أخصب وأطول وأهم فترة يمكن للمربي أن يغرس في نفوس الأبناء المبادئ القويمة، فالفرصة متاحة والإمكانيات متوفرة من فطرة سليمة وطفولة طيبة وبراءة صافية وقلب نقي، فكان لزامًا علينا أن نحكي لأبنائنا سيرة خير المرسلين سيدنا محمد "صلى الله عليه وسلم" ليتعلموها فيصبح قدوتهم ومثالهم الذي يقتضون به.
