تشتمل هذه الموسوعة, بأجزائها الأربعة, على حياة فلسطين وحياة شعوبها وسكانها منذ فجر التاريخ حتى انتفاضة الأقصى وتوابعها سنة 2002م, وبذلك تغطى فترة زمنية تستغرق حوالى خمسين قرنا, وتتضمن تفاصيل أوضاعها البشرية والحضارية والدينية والسياسية والاقتصادية والثقافية, وهى بذلك الشمول والاستيعاب, تكون حلقة فى سلسلة الموسوعات التى تهتم بأخبار فلسطين وجمع شتاتها فى كل واحد.
وقد استغرق هذا العمل سنوات عديدة, استجمعت فيها كل ما أوتيت من جهد وعزيمة, معتمدا على كثير من المراجع العربية المتخصصة للباحثين, والعلماء من العرب والمصريين المشهود لهم بسعة العلم والبحث العميق, وعلى عديد من المراجع الأجنبية المعروفة بالدقة والالتزام بالحقيقة.
