تعرض الشعب الفلسطيني لأبشع غزوة استعمارية استيطانية استئصالية، وهو ما فرض عليه مواجهة هذا الاحتلال الغاشم لبلاده بكل ما أتيح له من وسائل، فبرزت عدة حركات فلسطينية لمقاومة هذا الاحتلال. يهدف الكتاب إلى التعرف إلى الدور التربوي للحركات السياسية الفلسطينية في تنمية ثقافة المقاومة في المجتمع الفلسطيني، من خلال التعرف إلى الأنشطة والبرامج التي تقوم بها تلك الحركات، وأثر ذلك في مستوى المعرفة بمفاهيم وصور ثقافة المقاومة في المجتمع الفلسطيني، ودرجة الاتجاه نحو المقاومة بنوعيها (السلمية والمسلحة)، ودرجة المشاركة في المقاومة.
يتضمن الكتاب سبعة فصول إلى جانب الخلاصة التنفيذية والمقدمة والخاتمة. الفصل الاول بعنوان: "الإطار العام للدراسة"، والفصل الثاني: "التربية وثقافة المقاومة"، والفصل الثالث: "المجتمع الفلسطيني وثقافة المقاومة"، والفصل الرابع: "الدور التربوي للحركات السياسية الفلسطينية "، والفصل الخامس: "إجراءات الدراسة الميدانية"، والفصل السادس: "نتائج الدراسة الميدانية ومناقشتها"، والفصل السابع: "التصور المقترح لتطوير الدور التربوي للحركات السياسية في تنمية ثقافة المقاومة في المجتمع الفلسطيني".
