ويتناول تاريخ الكلمات الأجنبية وبخاصة الإنجليزية التي دخلت اللغة العربية وتم استخدامها في اللغة العربية ولغة الكتابة ولغة العلم وسوف يساعد عرض تاريخ هذه الكلمات على تحديد ما إذا كان من الضروري جداً اقتراض هذه الكلمات فسيتضح أن هناك كلمات كثيرة جداً نظن أن ليس لها مقابل في اللغة العربية والأمر ليس كذلك بل تم نقل الكلمة بصورتها الأجنبية مع عدم وجود ضرورة ملحة لذلك حيث كان من الممكن ترجمة هذا التعبير لو كان المترجم أو صانع المعجم لديه دراية تامة بتاريخ وأصول الكلمة ولديه استعداد لبذل المزيد من الجهد في محاولة وضع مقابل عربي.
