أبو العبر شخصية مشاكسة كثيرة المغامرات, وهو – كما أراد لنفسه – يبدو مختلفًا عن كل الناس.. وسواء أكان في البر أو في البحر أو في أعالي الجبال فهو يمتلك شخصية فذة.. يبدو في آونة أحمقًا وفي أحايين أخرى يبدو عبقريًّا.
وقد طوَّف في أرجاء وطنه قبل أن يغادر قريته التي أتعبها وأتعبته, وطوَّف العالم لابسًا وعريانًا, محاربًا وساعيًا إلى السلام, باحثًا عن الأفكار وهاربًا منها.
كما أنه دافع عن أفكاره مستميتًا, وقد ارتكب أبو العبر حوادث شتى في سبيل إثبات ذاته حينًا, ومن أجل الدفاع عن وجهات نظره حينًا آخر.. كم أنه اصطدم فطريًّا بمفاهيم معاصرة عن الحكومة والدولة.
وكما أنه بدأ مختلفًا منذ طفولته, أراد لنفسه أن يكون مختلفًا أيضًا في رجولته وشبابه, فانتهى به الأمر ثائرًا ومشاركًا في أكبر حدث شهده وطنه, وبدت مغامرته تلك نهاية المطاف لشخصية مشاكسة تستحق التأمل والقراءة..
