هذا الكتاب على قلة ورقاته يحمل بين طياته "ورقات" الإمام عبد الملك بن عبد الله الجوينى الشافعى فى اصول الفقه، وهو الشهير بإمام الحرمين، وأيضا شرح العلامة جلال الدين محمد بن أحمد المحلى الشافعة، وكذلك حاشية المحقق الشيخ احمد بن محمد الدمياطي الشافعى على تلك الورقات. وقد جاء المتن الأصلى للورقات فى متن الكتاب محاطاً بأقواس تميزه عن الشرح الذى وضعه لها العلامة الشيخ "المحلي"، أما الحاشية فقد احتوتها هوامش الكتاب على طول صفحاته، وقد قام بتصحيح الكتاب لجنة من العلماء تحت أشراف ورئاسة الشيخ "أحمد سعد على".
