يحتوى هذا الكتاب على الحاشية التى وضعها الشيخ أحمد الرفاعى على شرح الشيخ "بحرق اليمنى" على لامية الأفعال فى علم الصرف والتى بدورها هى للإمام جمال الدين محمد بن عبد الله بن مالك، وقد احتوى الكتاب على الحاشية والشرح معاً، حيث جاءت الحاشية فى خمسة أبواب هى باب أبنية الفعل، وباب أبنية الفعل المزيد فيه، باب أبنية أسماء الفاعلين والمفعولين، باب أبنية المصادر وأخيراً باب المفعل والمفعل، وهى التى أحتواها متن الكتاب، أما الشرح فقد احتواه هامش الكتاب، وقد زاد هذا التلازم من الفائدة المرجوة من الكتاب لطلاب العلم والدارسين حيث أن المتن وشرحه أتيا فى سفر واحد.
