La pensée de Kadhim Jihad Hassan, passionnément dynamique, repose sur l’acte traduisant comme élément déclenhceur d’un ensemble de pratiques théoriques et de traductions. C’est à travers cette délicatesse envers l’autre, qu’il a pu mener à bien ses travaux académiques et critiques, tout en introduisant en langue arabe la poétique de la traduction.
Professeur des universités à l’INALCO à Paris, son œuvre est à la croisée de plusieurs disciplines, et ne cesse de parcourir les époques, questionnant les textes “fondateurs” ou “marginaux”, afin de proposer une nouvelle lecture éclairée et éclairante de plusieurs œuvres littéraires.
Conjointement avec ses activités intellectuelles, et au centre de vie d’homme, il y a la poésie qu’il écrit depuis son très jeune àge. Il a publié en langue arabe plusieurs recueils poétiques et traduit en français un choix de ses poèmes.
Ce livre propose de lire l’œuvre académique et l’art de la traduction de l’auteur à la lumière de ses travaux alliant toujours la rigueur du chercheur et la sensibilité du poète-traducteur.
