قصة الحمامة والنملة حدثت في أحدى أيام الصيف الرائعة، حيث كانت النملة تمشى بين أغصان الأشجار كانت تبحث عن طعام تأكله، ولكن جاءت رياح قوية جدًا أخذت النملة بعيدًا على أحد غصون الأشجار الموجودة أعلى النهر، اختل توازن النملة وسقطت في النهر وأخذت تصيح بأعلى صوتها حتى سمعتها حمامة كانت تعيش في أعلى الشجرة القريبة من النهر.
سمعت الحمامة النملة وهي تصارع الأمواج في النهر كانت على وشك أن تغرق وتموت، أخذت الحمامة غصن من على الشجرة وذهبت بسرعة باتجاه النملة وقالت لها: تسلقي على غصن الشجرة، فرحت النملة كثيرًا وصعدت على غصن الشجرة بالفعل، عندها التقطت الحمامة الغصن بمنقارها وذهبت إلى الشاطئ بجوار الشجرة، نزلت النملة lن على الغصن وهي متعبة وكانت لا تصدق أنها نجت من الموت بأعجوبة وبمساعدة الحمامة الطيبة.
