هذا الكتاب يبحث في موضوع "ما ينصرف ومالا ينصرف" ، وهذا الموضوع يخطى بعناية النحويين منذ ألفوا كتبا في النحو فلا نجد كتابا في النحو إلا وباب "ما ينصرف وما لا ينصرف" ينتظم منه صفحات تقل أو تكثر تبعا لاهتمام المؤلف بهذا الباب. بل اننا نرى ان بعضهم قد اهتم به اهتماما بالغا حتى أفرده بكتاب مستقل، فنحن نرى انه يقع منكتاب سيبوية في مائة واحدى واربعين صفحة من 193/334 من الجزء الثالث. وهذا يؤيد مدى اهتمام النحويين بهذا الباب فقد راوا انه يرتبط اليحاة اليومية فنحن باحتكاكنا بالحضارات نحسن بحاجتنا إلى هذا الباب ففي حياتنا اليومية تخلق لنا احتياجات استعمالية لكلمات نحاول ان نخضعها للغتنا العربية. فإلى المهتمين باللغة والنحو على وجه الخصوص نقدم ذلك الكتاب بعد تحقيقه بالنسخة الوحيدة الموجودة في دار الكتب .
