يعد هذا الكتاب من أفضل الكتب التى شرحت "عدة الحصن الحصين" إذ انفرد المؤلف رحمه الله بانه أول من دون فى شرح العدة، وتبعه بعد ذلك الإمام الشوكاني رحمه الله فى شرحه أيضاً، لكن المؤلف تميز فى شرحه بعدة أمور، منها جمع أقوال شراح الحديث، وعلماء الجرح والتعديل، والفقهاء، وأقوال علماء اللغة لبيان معنى الحديث وحكمه وفقهه، والاستشهاد بأقوال السادة علماء االصوفية فى معنى الحديث فالكتاب يعد موسوعة حديثية فقهية لغوية صوفية شاملة لجميع أبواب العلم، فمن قصد النفع من الكتاب فى أي باب من أبواب العلم وجده بفضل الله تعالى، ذلك لتبحر المؤلف رحمه الله فى شتى ابواب العلم، كذلك أورد المصنف أختلاف النسخ التى بين يديه من "عدة الحصن الحصين" وبين ايضا ما رمز مصنف العدة إليه فى كتابه "الحصن الحصين".
وقد كان للمؤلف نهجاً فى كتابه نادراً ما ستخدمه، لكن رأيت الإشارة إليه حتى لا يتوهم القارئ أن هناك سقط فى النص، وهو انه حينها يذكر المصنف أقوال الفقهاء ناقلاً عن كتابة لا يذكر فعل القول، وإنما يذكر اسم القائل مباشرة. وكذلك عن نقله أقوال شراح الحديث.
