وبهذا المعنى فإن الكتاب يحاول أن يخلق التوعية الإعلامية بواقع التطورات الحديثة، والتنبيه إلى الإرتباط بالعصر أكاديمياً، فإن الكتاب هو يستعرض نشأة وتطور العمل الإذاعي والتلفزيوني ووحداته الإنتاجية منذ أن عرف الإنسان ولادة أول إرسال إذاعي تجريبي على يد ماركوني عام 1901 إلى العصر الرقمي، إنما يحاول إختصار الزمن بلغة العصر وإيقاعه.
