يتوجه هذا الكتاب لقرّاء العربية ومحبّي علم الأنساب أربعة كتب مخطوطة في أنساب آل البيت.
الأول:"أبناء الإمام في مصر والشام لابن طباطبا الحسني المتوفي 478هـ" حيث قصر الكتاب على أنساب أبناء الإمام علي رضي الله عنه في مصر والشام، فهو كتاب تخصص في أنساب آل البيت حتى وفاة المؤلف في نهاية القرن الخامس الهجري.
الثاني: "روح الإكسير في نسب الغوث الكبير السيد أحمد الرفاعي الحسيني وذريته" للمؤلف الحجة أبي علي الواسطي الذي تتبع أنساب الأشراف الرفاعية حتى وفاته في القرن السابع الهجري سنة 633هـ.
الثالث: "نخبة الزهرة الثمينة في أنساب أشراف أهل المدينة" لابن شدقم الحسيني حيث تتبع أنساب الأشراف أهل المدينة المنورة حتى وفاته في القرن الحادي عشر الهجري سنة 1023هـ.
الرابع: "بهجة الحضرتين في سيرة الإمام أبي العلمين السيد أحمد الرفاعي الكبير الحسيني" للمؤلف الحجة أبو الهدى الصيادي نقيب أشراف السلطنة العثمانية في عهد السلطان عبد الحميد والذي سجن معه حتى وفاته سنة 1314هـ. والكتاب بذل فيه المحققان المتخصصان بأنساب أهل البيت كل جهدهما.
