هذا الكتاب ليس كتاباً في السيرة، كما أعتدنا مطالعتها، إنما هو بجزئيه "الأول والثاني" حكاية "الوحي والتنزيل" وقصة الرسول حقيقة حية، بمؤثرات عصره، وكأن المطالع يعايش زمانه، فقد عمدنا الطرح الروائي، الذي باعد السرد التقليدي، وقوالب العرض الجامدة وقارب الأثر الصحيح، إلى حد التمام الذي لا شائبة في دقته، فكان عرضاً روائياً محكماً متسلسلاً، في ثوب جديد، لم يألفه قارئ السيرة، يبدأ بتاريخ العرب القديم، وكيف هيأ الله المكان، الذي حط فيه الوحي (رسالة السماء) ليتلقى مهمته خير بني البشر، رسول الإنسانية، في تلك البيئة التي استوعبت دعوته، ثم رحلة الرسول "صلى الله عليه وسلم" في التبليغ، وما تعرض له وأصحابه حملة الدين، حتى غدا الإسلام واقعاً على جزيرة العرب، في انطلاقته الأولى، وانتهى العمل الروائي "الطريق إلى النور" والذي لم يغفل حدثاً، ولا موقفاً إلا أحاطه، انتهى بوفاة النبي "صلى الله عليه وسلم" بعد أن يرى المطالع كيف صارت جزيرة العرب، على أهبة الانلاقة الثانية، ليخرج الدين من بلاد العرب، فاتحاً العالم من حوله.
