في كتابه "إبن الطين ومنافذ المصير" يقدم الأستاذ شفيق جرادي مقاربة (فلسفية – دينية) تؤسس لـ "إلهيات معرفية" حول الجسد – الطين وعالم الناسوت المقدس. وهي الزاوية التي يعيد من خلالها المؤلف قراءة "محورية الإنسان" في الدين، ذاك الإنسان بما هو تجلٍّ لعظمة مصدر الوجود ومنبعه سبحانه.
إن المؤلف هنا – في هذا الكتاب – يمارس التفلسف بصورة حرة ومفتوحة، ويتكلم بلغة مفهومية على درجة من النضوج والفهم حول "خلق الإنسان" من طين "خمرة الله سبحانه أربعين صباحاً وليلة ساكناً فيه من ماء الحياة ليعود بعدها فينفخ فيه حياة الروح الإلهي، وليربط بذلك قداسة عالم الناسوت (الطين) بعالم اللاهوت الأقدس" هذا المقتبس هو واحد من تلك الإنباءات الكريمة والإخبارات الروائية حول خلق الإنسان. أمام هذا المستوى القرآني والروائي العميق في مؤشرات وظيفة الطين (الجسد) وكرامته، وأنه مزرعة أعمال مصير الآخرة، يعود المؤلف ليقرأ الجسد "كرمز لعالم الناسوت، قراءة تتفحّص من جهة الذهنية التي سكنت الجسد برهبانية كادت أن تقول إن مقتضى الزهد رفض الجسد، بل كادت أن تقول إن بين الجسد والروح تعانداً وانفصالاً. من حقنا هنا – والكلام للمؤلف – أن نصدم هذه الذهنية التي تعاطت مع البدن كثوبٍ بالٍ وسخ بالسؤال عن دلالة احترام الإسلام له حتى بعد موته تغسيلاً وتكفيناً، وصلاة ودفناً .. فضلاً في ذاك الحشد الهائل من الوصايا والسنن التي حفّت حول تدبير البدن ورعايته وكيف أن كلّ حركة أو عمل بدني يرتبط بصورة معنوية أو جزاء أخرويّ (...) وإن كان من ثمار نتوخاها لمثل هذه الدراسة فهي التعرف إلى البناء الإسلامي لأصالة الحياة الدنيا ككاشف عن عمل إحاطة عالم الآخرة فيها ...". فهل أراد المؤلف قراءة تبحث عن أفق جديد في عالم الإنسان في الإسلام، (دنيا وآخرة)، الجواب بين دفتي هذا الكتاب.
