إننا اليوم نقف أمام أبواب ثورة جديدة في عصر الاتصالات والمعلومات، تحمل في طياتها، ما يمكن أن نطلق عليه سراباً أو أحلاماً تفوق الخيال، الأمر الذي سيجعل من الوسائل الاتصالية والإعلامية السائدة في عالم اليوم في المستقبل القريب، وسائل بدائية لا تغني ولا تسمن من جوع ونهم ثقافي وفكري، في عالم جديد جعل من الإنسان بمثابة الصانع والمستهلك في آن واحد، وأسهم في بروز تحديات خطيرة قد تضرب عمق التراث الإنساني برمته، إذا ما قدر للأقوياء أن يفرضوا إرادتهم وفق ما يبتغون؛ لذلك برزت نظريات جديدة إلى الوجود تجعل من سلاح السرعة مقياساً حضارياً للتنافس قد يسبق سلاح القوة.
