ولقد ولد التعصب من رحم التعلم العاطفي الخاطىء, والذي يعيش مع الإنسان منذ الصغر, ويمكن أن ينجح المتعصب نظرياً في التخلي عن التعصب كمعتقد فكري ولكنه لا ينجح في التخلص من التعصب في مشاعره, إن البحث في موضوع التعصب كان يهدف إلي خلق ثقافة مشتركة بين الناس في المجتمع تتميز بالتسامح فتنبذ التميز العنصري, ةتحفيز الآخرين والتقليل من شأنهم نتيجة للإختلاف في الجنس أو الرأى أو اللون أو العقيدة وعدم قبول النقد.
