وقد أعرضت عن الكتاب في البداية فلما أٌغريتُ بقراءته ندمت على سوء الظن الذي رميته واستغفرت الله تعالى من زلتي، وأقبلت على القراءة بكليّتي منتقلاً بين بيانه ومعانيه وحِكمه ونصائحه ولفتاته المدهشة، بل قُلْ بين مغانيه، ولقد كان صاحب الكتاب يُحسن أن يتبين حال قارئ كتابه فيُوطد له سبيلاً إلى الفهم لاحِباً.
وأزعم أن هذا الكتاب من أكثر الكتب في بابه نفعاً ومن أشدها قرباً لأذواق الناس عموماً، فلا تجد لفظاً يبعد بك النَّجْعة أو معنى مثالياً لا يحسَنُ أن تشرئب له نفس القارئ القاصد.
