الدكتور عبد المنعم الحفني كاتب وأكاديمي مصري يحمل درجة الدكتوراه في الفلسفة. تجاوزت أعمالة المائة والستين كتابا معظمها من الموسوعات والكتب المحققة.
Book Description
هذه الموسوعة غير مسبوقة وتضم 334 علماً من أعلام الصوفية والمنكرين على التصوف، وكانت أملاً وقد تحقق على تواضع ولم يذكر فيها إلا من كان له كلام في الطريق، وكتابات يشرح بها فلسفته وكانت هذه الموسوعة من محب للفلسفة ومعلم لها، ولذا كانت دائرة المعارف فلسفية صوفية، وتناولت المشاهير من صوفية العرب والعجم، ومن الإسلاميين.
وأما لغة الصوفية فقد ضمت الموسوعة منها 979 مصطلحاً كان من الضروري التنبيه إلى ما يقصده الصوفية بها، وإلى أصولها العربية والإسلامية، ومنشؤها القرآن والسنة، ولا يوجد مصطلح من مصطلحات الأحوال والمقامات إلا وله اصل قرآني أو سنة من أحاديث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ولم يكن التصوف وليد مؤثرات ثقافية أجنبية وإنما كان تطوراً طبيعياً للزهد الإسلامي.
ومن هؤلاء الزاهدين من كانت حياته العملية والروحية حافلة وملفتة للانتباه بأكثر مما كانت عليه حياة الكثير من أعلام الصوفية.
والدكتور الحفني من المؤلفين في الفكر الإسلامي، وله موسوعة أم المؤمنين عائشة بنت أبي بكر، كمؤرخة، وراوية ومحدثة، وكانت الوحيدة التي يمكن أن تحدثنا عن حياة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم العائلية.
وله أيضاً الكتاب الفلسفي "تجليات في أسماء الله الحسنى" وحقق كتاب "قوت القلوب" لأبي طالب المكي، وهو من خيرة الكتب التي تتناول الفكر الإسلامي والتصوف على وجه خاص. وللدكتور الحفني كذلك كتاب "رابعة العدوية إمامة المحزونين والعاشقين" وكتاب "الإمام الفيلسوف عمر الخيام ورباعياته".
