كنت أنوي في مجموعتي القصصية (غواص على الطريق) أن أغير طريقة عرض القصص، وأنواعها، عن كتابي الأول (هكذا شاءت الأقدار)، فكرت أن أجعلها مجموعة قصص اجتماعية قصيرة، أو أن أجعلها عبارة عن مجموعة قصص خيال علمي، أو روايتان في كتاب واحد.
إلا أني تراجعت عن الفكرة، نتيجة للآراء التي وصلت إلي في الكتاب الأول، فقد وجدت أن البعض أعجبتهم قصص الخيال العلمي، ولهم كتبت (رحلة إلى ما قبل التاريخ، والإعصار) والبعض أعجبتهم القصص الاجتماعية، التي يغلب عليها الطابع الإنساني، ولهم كتبت (عازفة الفلوت، والمهرج) والبعض يميل إلى القصص الإنسانية السياسية، ولهم كتبت (حدث في طاجستان)، والبعض يميل إلى الرواية المليئة بالأحداث، والترقب وجو المغامرة وإليهم كتبت (غواص على الطريق) لقد حرصت على التنوع في كتابي، رغم معرفتي أن إرضاء كل الناس أمر مستحيل، إلا أني حاولت أن أقدم لكل قارئ جانب مما يهوى.
