بعد أن ساد الفساد والظلم والجاهليّة في الجزيرة العربيّة قبل أن يبعث الله تعالى رسوله الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم وقد انتهى دور الديانة النصرانية، وصار كل الناس بحاجة إلي دينٍ جديدٍ ينقذهم من الضلال والفتن والحيرة، حيث الأصنام التي صارت تعبد من دون الله تعالى في الجزيرة العربية وحضارة فارس راحت تعبد النار والروم يدورون في حلقات البؤس والصراع والحروب.
وهكذا بقيّة الأقوام يعبدون الأوثان، حيث تعيش الإنسانية حالة الشقاء والبؤس والهمجيّة، وفي مثل هذه الظروف العصبية سطع النور الإلهي بعد طلوع فجر الجمعة المصادف للسابع عشر من شهر ربيع الأول سنة (570) ميلادية وهو عام الفيل، حيث ولد الهدى وخاتم الأنبياء محمد المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم، ووقعت في يوم ميلاده الكريم حوادث عجيبة وكرامات رائعة فقد انطفأت في ذلك اليوم نار المجوس التي كان الفرس يعبدونها من دون الله تعالى ويعتقدون أنها أزلية ولا تنطفئ، وحدث زلزال كبير حتى تهدّمت الكنائس النصرانية ودور عبادة اليهود، وسقطت أركانها وتكسّرت قواعدها، وفي مكة تساقطت الأصنام الموضوعة على الكعبة على وجوهها وأصبحت مهشّمة وعميت عيون السحرة والكهّان ولم يعرفوا ماذا يصنعون، وفي مولد الرسول الأكرم صلى الله عليه وسلم طلعت نجوم وكواكب في السماء جديدة لم يكن الناس قد رأوها من قبل، وقد وُلِدَ صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو يردّد: (الله أكبر، والحمد لله كثيراً، وسبحان الله بكرةٌ وأصيلاً).
